The Facilities & Fleet Technician is responsible for performing corrective and emergency maintenance and repair of District facilities and fleet. This position is responsible for the contribution or support of janitorial duties at all District facilities. Additionally, this position contributes to regulatory compliance and efficient operations of the District.

- Inspects contracted work or performs regular janitorial or grounds duties for District facilities.
- Performs routine inspections, preventative and corrective maintenance of facilities and fleet. This includes mechanical systems (i.e. HVAC, plumbing, low voltage electric, lighting, roofing) and light maintenance of vehicles and equipment.
- Performs routine inspections and maintenance of District grounds to ensure cleanliness, safety, and security.
- Coordinates with various departments, vendors, contractors, and agencies to ensure effective maintenance and repairs.
- Coordinates the set-up of meeting rooms.
- Performs light snow removal duties (including doorways, sidewalks, etc.).
- Records data in the work order system to track work status and pertinent information.
- Maintains an adequate inventory of supplies to meet department needs.
- Must be available for calls and after-hours emergencies.
- Follows procurement procedures and processes.
- Ensures compliance with all company policies.

- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Janitorial and maintenance experience preferred.
- Use of hand and power tools.
- Fleet and equipment terminology.
- Ability to maintain effective, fair, cooperative, collaborative, and respectful relationships with internal and external colleagues, peers, work teams and workgroups.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize appropriately.
- Ability to work with computer software and Microsoft Office programs.
- Ability to troubleshoot.
This job requires climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, pushing, reaching, standing, sitting, lifting, talking, hearing and repetitive motions. Heavy Work: exerting up to 50 pounds. Environmental conditions: subject to extreme heat, cold, humidity, wetness, noise, and vibration. Hazardous conditions: moving parts & equipment/tools, hazardous chemicals, low voltage electricity and working alone.
