We are seeking a Fabrication Material Handler to support our production operations by ensuring efficient, accurate, and timely movement of materials throughout the shop floor. This role is essential in maintaining workflow across multiple departments, supporting production schedules, and contributing to a safe and organized work environment.
- Transport raw materials and fabricated parts between the Laser, Form, Turret, and Parts Pull departments.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and effectively.
- Track material movement through scanning or system logging to ensure accurate inventory control.
- Partner with machine operators and production staff to maintain steady workflow and on-time production.
- Monitor stock levels and communicate shortages, delays, or discrepancies to appropriate personnel.
- Assist in loading and unloading trucks, ensuring proper handling, placement, and storage of materials.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area in accordance with company standards.
- Inspect incoming and outgoing materials, reporting any damages or quality issues.
- Backfill and provide support in other areas of production as needed, including Parts Pull, General Assembly, or Cabinet Assembly.
- Support overall production efficiency by adhering to company policies, safety guidelines, and operational procedures.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Experience in material handling, warehouse operations, or manufacturing is a plus.
- Ability to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment (certification preferred; willingness to obtain required).
- Strong attention to detail with organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand or walk for extended periods.
- Basic computer skills for inventory tracking and documentation.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities to work effectively across departments.
