•Develop accurate shop packets including drawings, BOMs, flat patterns, and fabrication notes for products such as conveyors, hoppers, stainless handrails, kitchen hoods, and custom OEM equipment.
•Transcribe data from drawings and models into structured Excel sheets for BOMs, cut lists, and material takeoffs.
•Collaborate with engineering, sales, and production teams to review project scope, identify critical details, and ensure manufacturability.
•Interpret architectural and mechanical drawings, customer specifications, and internal standards to guide the design process.
•Maintain revision control and ensure all documentation is accurate and up to date throughout the project lifecycle.
•Communicate with shop technicians, vendors, and customers to resolve technical questions and ensure design clarity.
•Support material selection and process planning based on knowledge of stainless steel, aluminum, and carbon steel.
•Manage multiple active projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines and maintaining high-quality standards.
Preferred Qualifications:
•Proficiency in SolidWorks is required; familiarity with related design platforms such as AutoCAD, Revit, NavisWorks, MicroStation, Civil 3D, or SketchUp is considered relevant and transferable.
•Associate or Bachelor's degree in Drafting, Mechanical Design, Engineering Technology, or a related field.
•Prior experience in a fabrication or manufacturing environment, especially involving sheet metal, structural components, or custom assemblies.
We’re looking for a proactive, detail-driven individual who thrives in a collaborative environment and takes pride in delivering high-quality design work.
