Experienced Excavator/Crane Operator – Scrap Metal Recycling

Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a skilled Excavator/Crane Operator with hands-on experience in the scrap metal recycling industry. The ideal candidate will have solid experience operating heavy equipment, particularly excavators and cranes with bucket grapples and magnets.

Key Responsibilities:

Safely and efficiently operate excavators and material handler cranes equipped with grapples and magnets

Load and unload scrap materials from trucks and railcars *

Sort, move, and organize metal materials for processing *

Conduct daily inspections and perform basic maintenance on equipment *

Follow all safety protocols and company procedures *

Communicate clearly with team members and supervisors *

Requirements:

Minimum 2 years of experience operating heavy equipment in a scrap/recycling or similar environment

Proficient with bucket grapples and magnet attachments *

Strong understanding of safety procedures in industrial settings *

Ability to work in a fast-paced, outdoor environment *

Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented *

Valid operator certifications preferred (but not required) *
