About This Job

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of electrical systems in accordance with national and local electrical codes. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical theory, system layouts, and a commitment to safety and quality workmanship.

•

Install, repair, and maintain electrical systems and components including wiring, conduits, lighting, power distribution, and motor controls.

•

Interpret and work from electrical blueprints, schematics, and diagrams to accurately plan and execute electrical installations.

•

Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical faults and malfunctions using systematic testing methods and equipment.

•

Perform wiring tasks involving conduit, cables, and raceways, ensuring compliance with code and proper protection of electrical circuits.

•

Adhere to all safety regulations, company policies, and OSHA standards to maintain a safe and hazard-free work environment.

•

Install, maintain, and troubleshoot motor control systems including starters, contactors, and variable frequency drives.

•

Work with power distribution systems including panelboards, circuit breakers, transformers, and perform load calculations.

•

Install and maintain various lighting systems, including energy-efficient lighting and lighting control systems.

•

Use electrical testing tools (e.g., multimeters, megohmmeters, circuit testers) to verify functionality and ensure the integrity of installed systems.

Qualifications:

•

Valid Journeyman Electrician license or certification (preferred).

•

High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an accredited electrical apprenticeship program preferred.

•

Minimum of 4-6 years of verifiable experience in commercial, industrial, or residential electrical work.

•

Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local electrical codes.

•

Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.

•

Ability to work independently or as part of a team in various environments including heights, confined spaces, and outdoors.

•

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

•

Effective communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with coworkers, contractors, and clients.
