Overview:
DMH Electric, a trusted leader in electrification services for over 30 years, is seeking an experienced and customer-focused EV & Service Electrician to join our team. This role is ideal for someone passionate about helping homeowners transition to electric vehicles (EV) and renewable energy solutions by providing expert installation of EV charging stations and home battery systems. And someone who wants to work with customers on their electrical service needs! You'll work in a dynamic environment where customer service and technical expertise are key to delivering excellent results.
Service Electrician:
•Holds a valid Massachusetts Electrical License (Journeyman or Master) NH, VT, ME are a plus
•3-5 years of experience in residential and commercial service and EV charging installations. Solar experience is a plus.
•OSHA-10 or OSHA-30 safety training is preferred.
•Proficient with hand tools and comfortable working on ladders, roofs, and lifts.
•Possesses a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
•Quick learner in a fast-paced environment, especially within a growing industry like electrification.
•Strong verbal communication skills with a focus on customer service.
•Well-organized and able to complete mobile app-based paperwork and documentation using technology daily.
•Excellent time management skills and attention to detail in workmanship.
•Familiarity with smart home devices and systems is a plus.
•Experience in sales or upselling is a plus.
Service Electrician Duties:
•Install, maintain, and troubleshoot Level 2 residential EV chargers and home battery storage systems.
•Install, maintain, and troubleshoot residential and commercial electrical systems.
•Ability to think outside the box and be able to solve problems while on site.
•Ability to maintain a daily work schedule while completing all scheduled jobs.
•Provide clear, friendly communication with homeowners, customers, and end users to ensure they are well informed throughout the project.
•Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures based on job specifications.
•Document project progress using technology, including photos, equipment details, and customer communication summaries.
•Maintain an organized job site, ensuring a clean, well-inventoried truck.
•Actively participate in all company training programs and keep updated on the latest technologies in electrification and smart home integration.
What a Service Electrician's Day-to-Day Looks Like:
•Complete general electrical service calls, EV charging station installations, home battery system solutions, and more.
•Build a relationship with customers to ensure they feel confident in the solutions provided and satisfied with the service.
•Troubleshoot electrical issues by asking the right questions and offering tailored solutions.
•Work with a collaborative team to meet company goals and exceed customer expectations.
•Understand your service criteria and hold yourself accountable for exceeding revenue goals.
•Show yourself as a professional and knowledgeable to win new referrals and repeat business.
•Maintain a clean, organized job site and a well-inventoried truck.
•Participate actively in all training exercises.
•Be accurate and timely with invoices, timecards, a summary of findings, and podium reviews.
