Overview
We are a commercial door company in the Hauppauge area looking for an estimator to join our team.
This person should be detail-oriented and an experienced Estimator. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in construction, division 8 estimating and project management.
Duties
•
Analyze blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to prepare accurate cost estimates for construction projects.
•
Follow up on estimates
•
Change orders
•
Utilize Protech software to build comprehensive estimates that reflect the scope of work.
•
Collaborate with project managers to understand project requirements and timelines.
Requirements
•
Proven experience in construction estimating or a related field.
•
Proficiency in Protech software is highly desirable, but we are willing to train.
•
Strong understanding of construction management principles and practices.
•
Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
•
Ability to effectively negotiate contracts and manage relationships with contractors.
•
Be able to value engineer.
•
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective collaboration with team members and clients.
•
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
