Essential Functions & Job Responsibilities:
•Responsible for training Estimators on new or existing processes and programming software’s of the department.
•The Estimating Supervisor will assign estimating duties to the members of the estimating staff. These may be by job type or by district.
•The estimating supervisor will continue to create estimates and review customer drawing and other part specifications.
•The ability to communicate with other departments needs to ensure a quality estimate is created with clear job specifications within company capabilities and customer lead time if possible.
•Ensure that the programming of CNC machines is out far enough on the schedule and job details are entered correctly to ensure smooth transition from job to job for the operator and accurately not to hold up the operations team.
•Take part in reviewing a machine and the operator’s processes to find the most efficient way to complete a job and reduce costs.
•Work with the Estimating Manager and Sales department in evaluating historical data along with market trends and developing cost and pricing strategies.
•Assist in evaluating employee’s performance and future growth potential.
•Assist the Estimating Manager in evaluating the workflow process and submit recommendations to management for improvement of efficiency, quality and profitability.
Required Skills & Abilities:
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
•Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
•Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate items when appropriate.
•Proficient in MS Office Suite and estimating software.
Education and Experience:
•Associate’s degree and/or at least two years of experience working in a related position.
