Our position is for a full-time Production Operator at our Kansas City , facility. This position is responsible for setting up, operating or tending machines to mix or blend materials to produce various finished products. This includes following production sheets for specific product recipes and recording accurate quantity and production time information. Production Operator Job Duties: Be committed and Supportive of Ergon's culture, safety and core values. If needed, unload bulk raw materials and load finished product from trucks to storage. Transfer raw materials tank-to-tank and tank- to-mixers. Set up, operate, and tend equipment that mixes, blends, or processes required ingredients in the manufacturing of finished products. Verify and stage raw materials and packaging materials needed for the production of intermediate raw materials and finished products. Select and measure or weigh ingredients specified for the manufacture of finished products. Collect product samples for analysis and perform quality control testing when directed. Maintains clean work area and promotes safe work habits. Maintains good working relationships with all co-workers, customers and associates. Works in a participative manner with supervisor and co-workers. Perform other duties as required. Record production and test data for each batch on required forms. Responsible for handling hazardous materials within proper safety parameters. Production Operator Requirements : Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Possess time management skills for reporting to work on time and to meet deadlines. Possess a strong commitment to team environment and exercises personal initiative. Ability to perform work with minimal supervision. Good verbal and written communications. Possess basic mathematics skills Pass a pre-employment assessment test. Proficiency with computers and computer software, including Microsoft Office products, desirable. Capable of becoming fork truck certified. Ability to complete all required training for required tasks for this position.
