Overview
We are seeking a skilled Equipment/Automotive Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in vehicle and equipment repair and maintenance, with experience in working on various types of vehicles, including tractor-trailers.
Duties
•
Perform routine maintenance and repairs on a variety of vehicles, including trucks and trailers.
•
Diagnose mechanical issues and provide effective solutions to ensure vehicle performance.
•
Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for repairs and maintenance tasks.
•
Replace or repair components such as shocks, struts, brakes, and other suspension parts.
•
Conduct equipment repairs as needed, ensuring all work is completed efficiently.
•
Maintain accurate records of services performed and parts used for each vehicle.
•
Provide excellent customer service by communicating clearly with clients about their vehicle's needs and repair options.
•
Assist in heavy lifting tasks related to vehicle parts and equipment when necessary.
Skills
•
Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools for automotive repair tasks.
•
Experience with tractor-trailer maintenance is preferred but not mandatory.
•
Strong troubleshooting skills to diagnose mechanical problems effectively.
•
Ability to perform heavy lifting as required during repairs and maintenance tasks.
•
Familiarity with soldering techniques for electrical repairs is a plus.
•
Excellent customer service skills to interact positively with clients and address their concerns.
•
Knowledge of suspension systems, including shocks and struts, is essential for this role.
