Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Equipment Technician to join our Fleet team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a variety of equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety. This role requires a strong technical background and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Essential Functions

•Repair and maintenance 2 stroke, small engine and landscape equipment.
•Perform routine maintenance on equipment to prevent breakdowns and ensure reliability.
•Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions using appropriate tools and techniques.
•Repair or replace faulty components, including electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems.
•Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inventory of parts.
•Collaborate with other technicians and departments to improve equipment performance and reliability.
•Follow all safety protocols and guidelines while working on equipment.
•Accurately complete forms and all other documentation in a timely fashion
•Work with a high degree of independence and manage own daily schedule
•Maintain a high level of productivity and be able to work within or close to most Standard Repair Times
•Communicate with management and support team via email or phone to obtain approvals on repair estimates, retrieve purchase order numbers and/or discuss RO findings notes
•Maintains a clean, orderly, and safe working area
•Performs other duties assigned by management
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities/Competencies
•Knowledgeable in all areas of fleet mechanics and small engine repair
•Ability to handle competing priorities
Education/Experience/Licenses
High school diploma or equivalent - required*
Minimum 3 years’ experience working on 2 stroke, small engines and landscape equipment. - required*
Valid driver's license and acceptable motor vehicle record - required*
Prior welding experience - preferred*
Experience in a broad range of landscape maintenance and construction equipment - preferred*

Work Environment
•Ability to work in extreme conditions – temperatures may exceed 100 degrees Fahrenheit
•Ability to work in direct sunlight for extended periods of time
•Ability to lift and carry 40 lbs. (equipment parts.)
•Ability to bend, stoop and twist continuously throughout the day
Physical Requirements
Frequently stand, walk, or crouch on narrow and/or slippery surfaces; stoop, kneel, bend to pick up or move objects; walk for long distances and on sloped ground and uneven surfaces; move, lift, and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds;

Travel Required
No overnight travel is expected. This position is based out of the Gilbert yard.
