The Equipment Supervisor is responsible for and supervises the installation, maintenance, care and efficient operation of all equipment used by the organization.
- Hires and trains qualified candidates for Equipment Technician positions.
- Oversees the day-to-day workflow, scheduling and assignments of the Equipment department.
- Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive. including recommendations for pay increases, if appropriate.
- Inspects and performs maintenance on assigned equipment.
- Ensures equipment is ready for installation and delivery.
- Maintains files of inspections, service agreements and contracts for equipment.
- Maintains the inventory, storage and distribution of equipment.
- Collaborates with other appropriate management on recommendations for purchase of new equipment.
- Conducts periodic equipment inventory counts.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Basic understanding of or ability to quickly learn the equipment to be maintained and/or installed.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Certification in a trade or maintenance related field preferred.
- Prior experience in trade, maintenance, handyman preferred.
- At least 2 years of supervisor experience preferred.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to assist with equipment repairs/installation as needed.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
