Equipment Specialist will be responsible for tracking and maintaining the field equipment databases, maintaining legal compliance on all field equipment and company vehicles, managing equioment assignments, maintaining the repair logs, maintaining inventory logs, and weekly management reporting. This position will require clear and effective communication with multiple departments. Being a team player is required.
•Collaboratively works with project managers and superintendents to collect and process company equipment sign out sheets daily and distribute updated inventory information.
•Plans, directs and monitors preventive maintenance and repairs program.
•Communicates with vendors and field personnel to coordinate vehicle delivery, maintenance and replacement vehicles for locations that are experiencing emergency shortage.
•Resolves inquiries and urgent requests in a professional and efficient manner, providing high quality service and communication to multiple departments.
•Ensures the inventory control of the fleet for accurate record keeping.
•Is responsible for the administration of employee assigned vehicles, including delivery, maintenance and incident reporting.
•5 or more years of heavy equipment and vehicle maintenance
•In construction equipment, heavy equipment, and preventative maintenance programs is preferred.
•Knowledge using systems such as Fleetio, Microsoft, Zonar, and other various Fleet equipment software
•Experience in scheduling and tracking preventative maintenance on heavy equipment and vehicles
•Has the ability to build strong professional relationships with subcontractors, field workers and shop personnel alike
•Has the ability to multi-task while paying close attention to detail
•Ensures compliance of all company procedures and policies as well as local, state and federal laws and regulations (EPA, OSHA, DOT, ADA and EEOC).
•Coordinates registrations, titles and ensures proper documentation is kept on file for each vehicle. Performs audits for employee DOT files.
