LCRA Garwood Irrigation Division is currently looking for an equipment operator to work in the Garwood and Lakeside Irrigation Divisions! In this position, you will operate heavy equipment such as scrapers, bulldozers, cranes, boom trucks, trench diggers, forklifts, vacuum truck, dump trucks and transport equipment. You will be trusted to:

- Assist in the operation of equipment as assigned for construction projects. Assist in the clearing, grading of roads and surfaces. Clean and maintain canal systems. May assist in the building and repair of bridges or other large structures as assigned by work area.

- Maintain equipment. Inspect, clean, adjust, lubricate, and make minor adjustments and repairs on the equipment or, may make arrangements for major repairs and overhaul as needed.

- Participate in training to gain greater knowledge of procedures, tools and equipment operation pertinent to assigned work area.

- Assist and/or direct lower-level employees (such as helpers and temporary workers) in the practice of safe and proper use of tools and equipment.

- Perform work by traveling independently or with a small crew to various locations (Garwood, Lakeside, Gulf Coast, Lane City etc.) as scheduled.

You qualify with:

- Two or more years of experience in operating large equipment, such as bulldozers, backhoes, excavators, cranes, farm equipment or other construction-related machinery or other relevant experience.

You are a great fit with:
