Equipment Operator/Laborer

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Equipment Operator to join our gas pipeline team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience operating heavy machinery on construction sites, ensuring that projects are completed safely and efficiently. This role requires mechanical knowledge and the ability to operate various types of equipment, including excavators, dozers, loaders, backhoes, and more. The Equipment Operator will play a crucial role in the success of our construction projects by maintaining high standards of safety and productivity.

Duties

- Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, dozers, loaders, and mainly backhoes on construction sites.

- Perform routine maintenance checks on equipment to ensure optimal performance.

- Safely transport materials using dump trucks and water trucks.

- Assist with horizontal drilling and paving operations as required.

- Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and within specifications.

- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.

- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to supervisors promptly.

Skills

- Strong mechanical knowledge related to heavy equipment operation.

- Experience with commercial driving and operating various types of machinery.

- Proficiency in operating excavators, dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, and water trucks.

- Familiarity with construction site procedures and safety regulations.

- Ability to operate Caterpillar machinery effectively.

- Experience with horizontal drilling techniques is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 60 per week
