Equipment Operator & General Laborer – Quarry Operations

Join Soiland Company— a family-owned business proudly rooted in Sonoma County since 1962—as a full-time Equipment Operator and General Laborer at our Stony Point Rock Quarry site, located in Cotati, California.

This position offers a combination of heavy equipment operation—including the water truck, skid steer, and haul truck—and hands-on labor to support day-to-day site operations. Duties may include tasks such as material handling, site cleanup, and general yard or plant support. We’re seeking a dependable, safety-minded individual who takes pride in their work and is eager to contribute as part of a hardworking, team-oriented environment. The ideal candidate is reliable, takes initiative, and can work effectively both independently and alongside others.

Requirements:

Minimum of 2-years of recent experience (within the past 4-years) safely and proficiently operating heavy equipment in the mining or construction industry (or similar production environment), such as: water truck, skid steer, and haul truck. Forklift or crane experience does not meet this requirement.*

Work Schedule, Classification & Location:

This is a full-time, non-exempt (hourly) position based on-site at our Stony Point Rock Quarry located at 7171 Stony Point Road, Cotati, CA 94931. The below standard schedule aligns with our site’s operational needs:
