Equipment Operator
Oakpark Powerline Services is seeking an experienced Equipment Operator, experience working in a Class 1 Railroad environment is considered an asset. The successful candidate will operate both Class 3 Vehicles and Construction Equipment to support project needs on a variety of worksites.
This position will currently work on a set schedule that varies by project, typically: 2 weeks on 2 weeks off or 2 weeks on 1 week off. Projects span from BC to Ontario with various work environments from Urban to Rural settings.

Job Duties:
•Drive and operate skidsteers, digger trucks, bucket truck, mini excavators, tandem dump trucks, roto-dumps for various job sites
•Load and transport equipment via trailer to job sites
•Trenching, digging, hauling material
•Perform daily maintenance and safety checks on equipment
•Manual Labour as needed to support site needs
•Perform routine maintenance to equipment
•Ability to secure special attachments to equipment
Requirements and Preferences:
•Class 1 considered an asset
•Mechanical aptitude with ability to perform routine maintenance
•3 years experience, minimally
•Experience working in a Class 1 railroad environment
•Able to work independently and part of a team
The successful candidate will be required to pass a criminal record check
