Alamos Gold’s Island Gold District will become one of the largest and lowest-cost gold mines in Canada. With the two mines within the district, Island Gold and Magino employ over 900 team members who work in the underground and open pit operations and are located in northern Ontario, just east of the town of Dubreuilville, 83 kilometres northeast of Wawa. Reporting to the Environmental Manager (or their delegate), the Environmental Technician supports the implementation and monitoring of environmental programs at the Island Gold District (IGD). This role is responsible for conducting fieldwork, collecting environmental data, maintaining records, and ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and site-specific requirements. The technician plays a key role in supporting environmental stewardship and sustainability initiatives across the operation.
