Job Scope:
•Assist with environmental permitting during the design and construction of LNG export plants and associated pipeline facilities.
•Responsible for preparing permit applications to federal, state, and local agencies, coordinating with the same agencies during application review, and developing programs to ensure compliance during construction.
•Provide project-specific support and help develop corporate environmental program and initiatives.
•The need to travel to project sites in Louisiana is anticipated to be minimal.
Responsibilities:
•Provide the environmental lead for coordination of engineering, right-of-way, and public affairs to develop applications and obtain the environmental approvals necessary to support timely project construction
•Develop and implement systems, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with environmental permits and regulations
•Manage environmental data and associated databases
•Oversee compliance with environmental permits, legislation, and Company Standards
•Effectively engage with government regulators during permit acquisition
•Review construction progress and monitor environmental impacts and compliance
Qualifications:
•Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science or related discipline; alternatively, commensurate work experience
•At least 3 years of experience in the oil and gas sector's federal and state environmental permitting. Louisiana permitting experience would be preferred.
•Ability to work both independently and within a team, with demonstrable strong interpersonal skills
•Ability to evaluate and clearly communicate both verbal and written technical information
•Strong attention to detail
•Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other applications as needed.
