Job Description
We are looking for a qualified individual with 4 to 8 years of experience to join our team as an Environmental Scientist II/Environmental Geologic Specialist II at our office in Moon Township, PA. This is a full-time, hourly position, with a combination of in-office work, remote work (after initial training period), and field work. Salary starts from $25 - $35 per hour, commensurate with experience.
Experience and/or Interest in the following General Areas:
•Environmental remedial investigation
•Environmental compliance (CERCLA, RCRA, Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, NEPA)
•Long-term groundwater monitoring
Typical Job Duties and Responsibilities:
•Phase I Environmental Site Investigations
•Phase II Environmental Site Investigations
•Lead and Asbestos Sampling and Inspections
•Soil Sampling and Delineations
•UST/AST Remedial Investigations / Inspections
•Assistance with Wetland Delineations
•Data Tabulation and Analysis
•Technical Report Writing
•Assistance with Proposals
•General assistance with other tasks, as needed and assigned
Requirements for Education, Experience Level, and Training:
•BS Environmental Science or Geology degree or higher from an accredited university or institution
•4 to 8 years of experience in consulting work specific to environmental and/or geology-related disciplines
•Professional certifications, such as PG or Wetland certifications, are a plus
•OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER is also considered a plus
General Requirements and Other Skills:
•Excellent written and oral communication skills
•Ability to work well as part of a team
•Proficiency in Microsoft Office
•Overnight travel required
•Personal Credit Card for project field expenses required
•Valid Driver’s License required
