- Collect required data and assist in the preparation of documents and applications to obtain required permits, including air, wetlands, NPDES, and DOT permits.
- Coordinate preparation and implementation of SPCC Plans.
- Support and develop ongoing improvements of environmental systems including database systems and processes.
- Highly skilled within databases with the ability to gather, verify and format data in multiple systems is preferred.
- Assist in safety and environmental inspections.
- Assist in maintaining response plans.
- Assist operations personnel in implementation of safety and environmental stewardship practices for the division.
- Assist in regulatory notifications.
- Assist with preparation and distribution of incident summaries.
- Assist with processing invoices and check requests.
- Willing to travel up to 20%.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Biology, Safety, Environmental or related field with one year experience in Safety and Environmental preferred.
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Knowledge of safety and environmental laws and regulations preferred.
- Good organizational and record keeping skills are required.
- Computer literacy is required.
- Ability to work effectively with others at all levels.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Ability to exercise sound judgement.
