The Environmental Professional position (located in Catlettsburg, KY) will support the environmental compliance efforts for the refinery. As a member of the HES&S team, the Environmental Professional provides technical guidance on regulatory programs including air, water and waste. The Environmental Professional teams with Operations and Maintenance personnel to ensure compliant practices. Some duties include conducting environmental audits, providing training on environmental-related topics, evaluating project and maintenance activities, obtaining and maintaining operating permits, interacting with regulatory agencies and participating in emergency preparedness. This position will report to the Environmental Manager.
This position will be responsible for the implementation and management of environmental issues and programs in the assigned media. Additional responsibilities include:
1.Develop and implement new environmental compliance programs in conformance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
2. Manage and improve existing environmental compliance programs.
3. Prepare required regulatory reports in areas of responsibility.
4.Provide compliance assistance to other departments within the refinery.
5.Review refinery projects for regulatory compliance and develop permit applications as required.
6.Review new regulations for potential impacts on the refinery.
7.Work as a member of an Area Team to support day-to-day operation of the refinery in compliance with applicable requirements and company policies.
8. Lead and participate in incident investigations and implement corrective actions as requested.
9.Lead and participate in HES field audits and develop corrective actions as required.
11.Conduct face-to-face training for groups of various sizes and backgrounds.
