Job Description

As part of the Trading and Origination team, the Environmental Products Markets Analyst will strengthen our analytical and data science capabilities, with an emphasis on certificate inventory optimization, fundamental modelling, pricing, and market strategy. Our ideal candidate will be well organized, self-starting, goal oriented, and be able to proactively create solutions to drive operational efficiency. She/he brings significant energy and thrives in an atmosphere that rewards completing transactions from start to finish. The role is ideal for someone who is always thinking about how to optimize, and loves working with data, solving problems, and making a measurable impact.

+ The creation of tools, systems, and processes for REC and Carbon deliveries + REC and Carbon Registry management + Work with Settlements and Risk teams to create, maintain, and improve proprietary portfolio management programs and tools. + Create transparent reporting for outstanding/upcoming positions and near term (1yr out) deliveries. + Design, build, and maintenance of financial, trading, and supply/demand models + Regular updates to core market models + Relationships with third-party market analysts + Fundamental and market analysis to provide insights on a range of topics, e.g. view formation, long-term deal pricing, optimal hedging strategies, long-term calibration of curves and models + Provide data-driven decision support and deliver insights to senior portfolio managers and management
