BW Gold is a wholly owned subsidiary of Artemis Gold Inc (“Artemis”). Our current focus is construction of the Blackwater Mine in central British Columbia approximately 160km southwest of Prince George and 450km northeast of Vancouver.

Artemis Gold received its BC Mines Act permit for Blackwater Mine in March 2023 enabling the project to move into major works construction.
Reporting to the Environmental Technical Lead, in addition to regular reporting and seeking feedback on monitoring locations and monitoring workplans from their Nation representatives, the Environmental Monitor is responsible for monitoring water, wildlife, air quality, construction waste and salvage. This is a physical outdoors-based position which may include long hikes over rough terrain and or deep snow at times.
Location: Blackwater Mine site - located 160 km southwest of Prince George, BC.
Schedule: Two (2) Weeks On – Two (2) Weeks Off Rotation
+ Surface, Stream and Groundwater quality and quantity monitoring + Wildlife and vegetation assessment and monitoring + Air quality (dust), noise and vibration monitoring + Construction environmental monitoring (e.g., soil salvage, erosion and sediment control) + Fish habitat compensation projects + Aquatic effects monitoring + Environmental inspections (e.g., tailings storage facility inspections, compliance inspections)
Documentation, record keeping and report writing
+ Field data management and organization (hard copy and using a computer and electronic filing) + Standard Operating Procedure development + Independent Environmental Monitor (IEM) site inspections + Safety planning (e.g. participating in Field Level Hazard Assessments, Job Hazard Analysis) + Consultant/Contractor logistics and technical support
