- Provide support in Workers’ Compensation management, focusing on process improvements and cost reduction.
- Develop internal auditing processes and hazard/risk assessments to validate adherence to safety standards.
- Lead continuous improvement efforts to identify and eliminate high-risk tasks using incident data, observations, and audits.
- Serve as primary contact for all safety-related inquiries, inspections, and communications with federal, state, and local agencies.
- Provide timely and accurate reporting to management and regulatory agencies.
- Ensure safety is considered in all operational changes, including facility upgrades, equipment installations, and process modifications.
- Verify proper safety controls are designed, installed, trained, and functioning across all equipment and operations.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health, Safety, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
- 2–5 years of safety experience in a manufacturing environment (metal fabrication experience preferred).
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, compliance standards, and workplace safety best practices.
- Familiarity with Workers’ Compensation laws, reporting, and case management.
- Proficient in first aid, CPR, and emergency response protocols.
- Skilled at developing and leading effective safety training for diverse employee groups.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience conducting root-cause analysis.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reports, investigations, and employee engagement.
- Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred but not required.
- This role reports directly to the Human Resources Manager.
- While currently posted as a Part-Time position, there is potential for the role to transition into Full-Time based on business needs and performance.
