Job Summary:
The Environmental Field Escort supports environmental compliance and field operations by accompanying contractors, vendors, or personnel in environmentally sensitive areas. This role ensures adherence to environmental regulations and internal protocols during construction, inspection, or maintenance activities, especially in areas with endangered species, wetlands, archaeological resources, or contamination concerns.
Key Responsibilities:
•Escort and monitor personnel in environmentally sensitive or restricted areas to ensure compliance with environmental protection requirements.
•Observe and report activities that may violate environmental permits, regulations, or project-specific environmental commitments.
•Provide field support during environmental inspections, surveys, and audits.
•Communicate effectively with contractors and crews regarding environmental best practices and site-specific requirements.
•Document and report findings, incidents, or non-compliance through daily logs or standardized reporting formats.
•Coordinate with environmental staff, biologists, or archaeologists to ensure protection of sensitive resources.
•Maintain situational awareness of environmental hazards and promote safe work practices in the field.
Requirements:
•Associates degree or Bachelor’s in Microbiology or closely related field is strongly preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
•A minimum experience of 1 year in the environmental field.
•Threatened and endangered species compliance.
•Oil and Gas and/or municipality work experience.
Physical Demands and Work Conditions:
•Occasional exposure to outside weather conditions.
•Occasional exposure to extreme heat or cold (non-weather).
•While performing the duties of this job, the noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate.
•The employee must occasionally lift and /or move more than 50 pounds.
•Additional remarks regarding work environment: Ability to quickly mobilize from office to field setting.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
