Position: Steel Welder Apprentice
We are seeking a motivated Welder/Laborer/Apprentice to join our team and be trained in the use of specialized equipment for steel fabrication.
Job Description:
•
Learn and perform welding processes with guidance to repair and fabricate equipment.
•
Set up equipment correctly based on the function and application.
•
Read a tape measure and accurately cut materials according to the provided cut lists.
•
Follow supervisor instructions to complete tasks safely and efficiently.
•
Adhere to all company and customer care standards.
•
Actively promote and adhere to safety practices, including following all applicable safety policies, procedures, and standards.
•
Participate in training and contribute as a team member in support of PIM’s programs, projects, and initiatives.
•
Align with and promote the corporate vision, mission, and values of the organization.
•
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Skills:
•
Ability to work on your feet for a minimum of eight hours per day.
•
Strong math and measurement skills to perform basic calculations.
•
Complete all required on-the-job training within the designated time frame.
•
Ability to safely operate overhead cranes and other lifting devices.
•
Previous welding and fitting experience is preferred but not required.
•
Familiarity with welding tools and processes (preferred but not required), including:
•
TIG
•
MIG
•
Stick
•
Comfortable using hand tools.
•
Safety-conscious with a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
