Entry Level Utility Billing Specialist
Position Summary
The Billing Specialist at PowerTown Line Construction will work with one of our major customer projects related to transmission and distribution utility services and play a key role in customer invoicing related to completed projects. This position will report to the Billing Coordinator and is pivotal in expediting service to both customers and vendors. Confidant communication and a keen attention to detail are essential for success in this role. The ideal candidate will take the initiative, be eager to learn and grow and be an enthusiastic team player. Also, proficient in reading and interpreting contracts to ensure accurate invoice preparation.
Essential Accounts Receivable Duties and Responsibilities:
•Process work packets and generate invoices per customer contract specifications
•Collect, compile, and review supporting documents needed for invoice generation
•Update project information and status in the work management system
•Communicate with field managers, supervisory personnel, and customers
•Interface with the customer’s Work Management System specialists
•Monitor accounts receivable aging and follow up on overdue accounts
•Report project status information to project supervisors
•Address and clarify any discrepancies in customer accounts
•Prepare accruals for month-end and year-end reporting
Position Requirements

•Ability to work with contracts and billing processes.
•Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite. Prior exposure to Oracle, , Perceptive, and Nitro a plus.
•Strong communicator. Both written and verbal.
