Entry-Level Manufacturing Laborer

Badgerland Industries is a metal manufacturer that manufactures stainless steel, steel, and aluminum parts. We take a drawing of a part and bring it to life through laser cutting, forming on a brake press, to welding, assembly and powder coating.

We are looking for someone who is willing to flex between multiple areas on our manufacturing floor. This individual could be operating lasers, using forklifts to load and unload the lasers, shake out parts, organize parts for the next order of operation. Along with operating lasers, this individual could be bending parts, painting parts and other areas.

This position is an 8 hour shift from 6:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- Walk/stand 8 hours per day

- Ability to lift 50 lbs.

- Minimum 1 year of consistent/steady work history

- Regular attendance is required

- Follow written and verbal instructions to complete tasks

- Ability to operator a fork lift

- Read and understand blueprints for specifications such as material type and dimensions of a part

- Read and apply measurements to parts to meet expectations

- Read and interpret job routings and paperwork

- Communicate verbally with co-workers to keep a safe work environment

- Assist co-workers with lifting parts

- Maintain a clean and safe work environment

Basic Qualifications

- High School Diploma/GED

- 1 year of experience working in manufacturing

- Experience working with basic hand tools and pneumatic tools

Key abilities needed to complete essential duties

- Perform assigned tasks

- Demonstrate strong verbal communication skills

- Recognize and react to abnormal operating conditions

- Use and wear appropriate PPE

- Perform basic counting tasks

- Read tape measure, work orders and blueprints effectively

- Follow instructions from Supervisor and co-workers

- Individually lift and manipulate parts weighting up to 50 lbs.

- Ability to stand and walk throughout the shift

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour
