Engineering Technician

Provide technical and design support.

Interface with customers and other field technicians.

Assemble and construct system assemblies.

Conduct test and debug electronic or electrical designs.

Provide and/or expedite project documentation.

Assist with organization, checking of documentation for new equipment.

Assist in production and/or manuals for new equipment.

Requisition parts and/or materials for projects. Prepare drawings and/or sketches, wire list, and parts list.

Review and correct documentation for projects.

Perform prescribed preventative maintenance, maintain PM records and reports.

Repairs and troubleshoots electronic, electrical, and/or mechanical equipment.

Technical support of mill and field equipment.

Program PLC and HMI

Program AC/DC drives.

Perform other work-related tasks as assigned.

Comply with all NOV Company and HSE procedures and policies.

2-year technical degree and/ or experience in the related field.

Good verbal and written communication skills.

High level of technical ability.

Ability to solve complex problems and to relate technical knowledge to specific applications.

Domestic and some international travel.

Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.

Must be able to stand in uncomfortable positions for some time.

Must be able to work in varied weather conditions.

Must be comfortable getting dirty, and/or working in contaminated areas.

Must be comfortable working at heights/manlifts.
