Title: Engineering Technician/Production Technician
Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Engineering Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will work closely with project teams to support a range of technical projects, from project scoping and estimating to project oversite and reporting. The role will involve hands-on work, data analysis, deliverable creation. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Responsibilities:
•The Engineer Tech will work under the direction of the COO or his/her designate on project tasks
•Assist project teams in execution tasks such as creating project estimates, BOMs, drawings, manuals, datasheets, etc.
•Create and maintain standard project Document Submittal Lists
•Support project teams in the design and development of new projects, as well as modifications to existing ones.
•Review project scope and customer specs ahead of the project kickoff.
•Monitor and report on project schedule adherence to forecasted timelines.
•Review Turn-In and PO for accuracy and costing to identify issues early.
•Provide initial vessel and line sizing and P&ID markups
•Assist in the preparation of technical reports, data analysis, and presentations
•Conduct field inspections and monitoring of company operations
•Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all technical activities and data
•Troubleshoot equipment and process issues, and identify potential solutions
•Collaborate with other departments and external vendors as necessary to ensure project success
•Always adhere to company policies and safety regulations
Requirements:
•Associate's degree in engineering technology, or related field
•Minimum of 2 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, preferably in a technical support role
•Knowledge of engineering principles, instrumentation, and equipment used in the industry
•Proficient in the use of technical software, such as AutoCAD, AutoDesk, Excel
•Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
•Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with others
•Willingness to work in both office and field environments, as required
Preferred Qualifications:
•Bachelor's degree in engineering technology or related field
•Experience working with production operations and/or oil and gas construction activities
•Familiarity with software used in the oil and gas industry
