At LEL International, we are a rapidly growing leader in custom enclosure manufacturing for critical power infrastructure. Our enclosures house the heartbeat of the modern world - power systems that keep communities, data centers, hospitals, and industries running. As we expand, we live by three guiding tenets:
- Love People - We care deeply for our team, our partners, and our customers.
- Embrace the Challenge - We lean into the hard problems with grit and determination.
- Leave it Better - Every project, every process, and every relationship is made stronger because we were involved.
We are looking for a highly capable, hands-on Engineering Manager to step into a critical leadership role and help us standardize, scale, and elevate our engineering function.
This is not a maintenance role - this is an opportunity to build and own the engineering function of a rapidly scaling organization. As Engineering Manager, you will be the first point of contact for world-class OEM customers guiding projects from RFQ through execution. You will bring structure, command, and process to a talented engineering team, transforming them into a high-performance unit.
This role is ideal for a technical leader who thrives in autonomy, wants to put their stamp on a growing business, and is ready to be both strategist and builder.
- Process Development & Management:
- Build a robust, standardized engineering process.
- Implement an Engineering Change Order (ECO) system to eliminate bottlenecks and streamline workflow.
- Technical & Structural Oversight:
- Lead structural design and analysis, including wind loading, frame strength, lifting diagrams, and bolt calculations.
- Oversee fluid flow and heat transfer calculations (CFD for exhaust, temperature controls, etc.).
- Serve as the technical authority across structural, mechanical, and electrical considerations.
- Customer Interface & Project Management:
- Act as the primary technical liaison for OEM customers.
- Lead project kickoff calls, ensuring customer specifications are translated into cohesive design packages.
- Team Leadership & Development:
- Mentor and develop the engineering team, driving standardization and continuous improvement.
- Foster collaboration across engineering, production, and sales.
- Strong structural engineering background (wind loads, strength tests).
- Proficiency in SolidWorks and SolidWorks Simulation (FEA).
- 5-10+ years of engineering experience, ideally in enclosure or machine-building industries.- Working Manager: Willing to roll up your sleeves and design alongside your team.
- Autonomy-Driven: Comfortable leading without bureaucracy; you bring solutions, not problems.
- Customer-Facing: Thrives on interaction with customers and stakeholders.
- Proactive: Builds systems and processes where none exist.
Deal Breaker: If you want to sit behind a desk in an established, bureaucratic process—this is not the role for you.
This role is more than a job-it’s an opportunity to embrace the challenge of shaping an engineering department in a high-growth company where your impact is visible every day.
- Love People: Join a culture where relationships matter-internally and externally. You’ll work with some of the best OEMs in the world while mentoring a talented team.
- Embrace the Challenge: If you’ve ever wanted to build a function from the ground up, this is your chance. You’ll tackle complex technical problems and solve them your way.
- Leave it Better: Your work will directly elevate our products, processes, and people, leaving a lasting mark on the business.
- Competitive Base Salary (negotiable based on experience).
- High Autonomy: Build, lead, and grow without corporate red tape.
- Clear Path for Growth: Shape a team and function that scales with the company.
If you are ready to step into a critical leadership role, partner with major global OEMs, and build something lasting, we’d love to talk with you.
