What You'll Do
- ✅ Lead and oversee the entire engineering program for the company.
- ✅ Establish project priorities, timelines, and ensure on-time completion.
- ✅ Manage capital projects from concept through execution, including feasibility studies, design, budgeting, and vendor oversight.
- ✅ Troubleshoot existing systems and develop cost-effective solutions to operational challenges.
- ✅ Partner with the General Manager on strategic projects, construction, and repairs.
- ✅ Set department goals, processes, and preventive systems to maximize performance.
- ✅ Monitor plant equipment and operations, minimizing downtime and identifying improvement opportunities.
- ✅ Lead, coach, and develop the engineering team - fostering professional growth and strong performance.
- ✅ Maintain and update operating and training manuals for the department.
- ✅ Conduct on-site inspections and provide innovative, proactive engineering solutions.
- ✅ Ensure compliance with safety policies, company standards, and regulatory requirements.
- ✅ Perform other duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For
Education:Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field).
Experience:10–15 years in engineering, maintenance, or project management within a large industrial/manufacturing setting.
Skills:- Strong knowledge of engineering systems and principles.
- Capital expenditure and project management expertise, including budgeting, cost tracking, and vendor management.
- Proficiency in computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and reporting tools.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management abilities.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with working knowledge of both electrical and mechanical systems. Mindset: Strategic thinker, adaptable to changing conditions, proactive leader who can balance big-picture goals with hands-on problem solving.
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
- Exposure to loud environments, mechanical equipment, and varying conditions (indoor/outdoor).
- Requires close, distance, and color vision, plus ability to adjust focus.
