What You Will Do

- Accountable for delivering safe, reliable, and cost-effective mechanical station designs in compliance with applicable codes and standards.

- Develop/ review /approve engineering designs.

- Responsible for a timely response to emergencies, safety incidents and investigations, and operations support.

- Facilitate required internal approvals and ensure compliance with external stakeholder needs (i.e., regulatory bodies, customers).

- Participate in the Stations Engineering On-Call rotation

- Work with EIT’s and co-op students

- Building relationship with other internal/external stakeholders

Who You Are

- University degree in Engineering/Applied Science in Chemical, Mechanical or Civil Engineering with minimum 4 years work experience.

- Professional Engineering (P.Eng.) designation.

- Experience and understanding of station design, pressure regulating, and control systems, heating systems, odorization, measurement, codes, standards, procedures, construction practices, and field operations.

- Knowledge of relevant codes and standards, including but not limited to CSA Z662

- Facilitation, project management and analytical skills with the ability to establish good working relationships and communicate/work with employees at all levels of the organization

- Exceptional communication and stakeholder skills – both written and verbal to internal and external audiences.

- Analytical and problem-solving skills

- Office environment

- Some travel (up to 5%) to field locations as required. A valid Class G driver’s license is required.
