We’re supporting a major midstream energy company in their search for a
Mechanical Integrity Engineer
to join their team in Tulsa, OK. This role is focused on maintaining and improving the mechanical integrity of critical assets and equipment across the enterprise. It’s an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented mechanical or chemical engineer with vessel design experience and strong knowledge of industry codes.
Key Responsibilities•Support the Mechanical Integrity (MI) program across existing and new assets.
•Conduct Suitability for Service (SFS) and Fitness for Service (FFS) evaluations on equipment and components.
•Plan and coordinate inspections and data analysis with internal teams (Process Safety, Operations, Engineering).
•Ensure data accuracy and accessibility across the MI program.
•Assist with regulatory compliance evaluations and documentation.
•Communicate findings and updates to engineers, operations leaders, and other stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
•Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Petroleum Engineering (or Engineering Technology with a PE license).
•At least 4 years of engineering experience in the natural gas or petrochemical industry.
•Strong background in pressure vessel design.
•Solid understanding of relevant codes and standards:
•ASME Section VIII Div 1 & 2
•ASME B31.3, B31.4, B31.8
Preferred Knowledge
•CFR 192 (Natural Gas) and CFR 195 (Liquid Pipelines)
•National Board Inspection Code (NBIC)
Soft Skills & Tools
•Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic data management systems.
•Strong communication and organizational skills.
•Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
