- PowerSouth Energy Cooperative, headquartered in Andalusia, AL, is a generation andtransmission (GandT) electric cooperative serving the wholesale power needs of 20 distributionmembers - 16 electric cooperatives and four municipal electric systems - in Alabama andnorthwest Florida. The purpose of this position is to provide engineering support to the Engineering and OperationsDivision. This position requires a Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering.

- Designs facilities to be utilized in the generation, transmission, or distribution of electricalpower to ensure members of a reliable power supply.

- Reviews and writes specifications for equipment used on PowerSouths system to ensurePowerSouth equipment meets industry standards.

- Performs engineering calculations utilizing standard engineering formulas or computertechniques to ensure proper design and operation of PowerSouths system.

- Completes special projects such as evaluating equipment or developing software toenable PowerSouth to be more efficient in the future.

- Responsible for ensuring the success of PowerSouth by promoting teamwork, groupgoals and objectives, proper communication and cooperation within the department,division, throughout the PowerSouth organization and with member systems.
