Job Description

This position will be fully onsite effective June 1, 2025.

What you’ll do:

Responsible for performing highly technical estimates for Transmission line and substation projects, including very complex projects, in a safe, efficient and economical manner. This position is responsible for complying with defined project scoping and estimating procedures; gathering and integrating estimate and cost information to build & update master estimating cost models and databases; developing criteria for estimation and use of project and portfolio contingency; working with project stakeholders (i.e. project management, engineering, planning, construction, contractors, etc.) to develop, implement and continuously improve scoping and estimating processes; and mentoring and training less experienced Project Estimators.

What we’re looking for and what you’ll get:

Engineer Associate (SG5): ($61,647-77,057)

This is an entry level position for new graduates with a bachelor’s degree in engineering in a program accredited by ABET; Passing the Fundamentals of Engineering examination in preparation for future licensing as a Professional Engineer (PE) is encouraged and preferred.

Engineer (SG6): ($72,380 - $90,475)

Has typically acquired 2 or more years of related engineering experience along with a bachelor’s degree in engineering in a program accredited by ABET.

Individuals with a master’s degree in engineering from an engineering program accredited by ABET may be considered for entry into the organization at this level.

+ ABET - Engineering Accreditation Commission of the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology.

Acceptable alternative is:

Engineer (SG7): ($85,081 - $106,354)

Has typically acquired 4 or more years of related engineering experience along with a bachelor’s degree in engineering in a program accredited by ABET; or 2 years of related engineering experience along with a master’s degree in engineering from a program accredited by ABET*.

Individuals with a PhD in engineering from an engineering program accredited by ABET may be considered for entry into the organization at this level.

Registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) in any U.S. state or Puerto Rico is encouraged and preferred. ABET - Engineering Accreditation Commission of the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology.

Acceptable alternative is:

Bachelor’s degree in engineering (non-ABET) plus a master’s degree or PhD in engineering from a university with an ABET accredited bachelor’s program. * Confirmation is required to ensure the PE obtained in Puerto Rico aligns with NCEES standards.

Engineer Senior (SG8): ($96,110 - $124,941)

Has typically acquired 6 or more years of related engineering experience along with a Bachelor's degree in engineering in a program accredited by ABET; or 4 years of related engineering experience along with a Master's degree or PhD in engineering from a program accredited by ABET; Registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) in any U.S. state or Puerto Rico is encouraged and preferred.ABET - Engineering Accreditation Commission of the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology.

Acceptable alternative is:

Engineer Principal (SG9): ($112,869-146,730)

Registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) in any U.S. state or Puerto Rico is preferred for this position unless approval to waive this requirement is given by the organization's EVP. Engineering Technologist (SG5); ($61,647-77,057)
