FIDELITY MANUFACTURING is part of the backup Power Generation Industry. We design and build back up power packages (to include tanks and enclosures) for large and small health, industrial, and technology-oriented businesses that cannot have a power lapse at any time.
Position Summary: We are looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer to work within our engineering team to carry out specific tasks that are vital to the design & production of electrical generator system packages.
Daily job responsibilities/functions to include, but not limited to:
1. Use computers and computer systems to design, implement, and improve electrical systems for generator system packages.
2. Prepare technical drawings and specifications of electrical systems for new products and product changes.
3. Inspect completed installations and observe operations to ensure conformance to design and equipment specifications and compliance with building codes, primarily NFPA & NEC.
4. Independently review products for conformance with NFPA, NEC, and UL 2200.
6. Assist and create electrical Bills of Material (BoM).
7. Prepare specifications for purchases of materials or equipment.
8. Create standards and processes and assist with creation of production work instructions.
9. Maintain consistency with engineering records and part drawings.
11. Meet agreed upon goals and objectives in a timely manner.
12. Interact with organizational team members and other departments in a professional manner.
13. Performs other duties as assigned by management.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent job experience, Electrical Professional Engineer is a plus, management experience is a plus.
- 10+ years of professional experience in the Power Generation Industry with three-phase electrical systems construction and production, low to medium voltage.- Knowledge of industry standards, building codes and safety standards including NEC, ANSI, IEEE, NFPA, and UL.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office skills, specifically, Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Proficient in AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks; SolidWorks Electrical is a plus.
- Provide technical due diligence review and evaluation for the electrical selection process.
- Team player with positive attitude and desire to learn. Collaborates with other disciplines including Software Engineering, Hardware Engineering, Network Engineering, Capacity Engineering and Analysis.

Work environment is an office atmosphere with some shop and outside exposure in a heavy industrial environment. While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to sit for long periods of time; walk on non-forgiving surfaces such as concrete, wood, and metal; climb stairs; balance, climb, stoop, crouch, and crawl; walk on hilly and uneven ground; use hands to handle and feel; reach with hands; and communicate with others. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
