About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Instrumentation and Control Systems Engineer to provide subject matter expertise in standardizing engineering design execution across our organization. This role will focus on governance, standardization, and process improvement while representing the Engineering Management Office (EMO).
- Lead the development and implementation of engineering governance standards across North America
- Create and maintain documentation for project execution procedures and standards
- Optimize engineering workflows and processes
- Facilitate training sessions and stakeholder meetings
- Represent Engineering in cross-functional workshops and reviews
- Establish and maintain engineering execution standards across all business units
- Develop templates and procedures for project documentation
- Review and approve technical deviations
- Conduct peer reviews of engineering deliverables
- Participate in project health checks and stage gate reviews
- Mentor peers and support team development
- Manage asset classification and maintenance programs
- Support cloud-based project data management systems
- Experience with instrumentation specifications and datasheets
- Knowledge of control systems and network communication equipment
- Understanding of hardware acceptance testing and FAT procedures
- Familiarity with electrical equipment specifications
- Experience with various project types (Liquids, Natural Gas, Renewables)
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Instrumentation, Process Control Systems, Electrical, or related)
- Minimum 10 years of Oil and Gas industry experience
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proven project management abilities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
- Experience with renewable energy projects
- Asset management background
- EIC engineering interface experience
- Knowledge of multiple engineering disciplines
- Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and in teams
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
- Effective stakeholder management skills
