What You'll Do:* You’ll apply your knowledge in engineering design, project management and maintenance of utility systems.Engineering and design work related to electrical transmission line design including:* Engineering analysis and design
Duties Include:* Communicate effectively verbally and written to facilitate high quality, on schedule and on budget project performance.
Skills Needed:* Prior experience in structural design, foundation design and/or surveying is preferred. Experience and/knowledge of transmission line specific design, structure modeling and plan and profile development is not required. Candidates without this experience will need the ability to quickly gain proficiency.
Basic Qualifications:
Engineer Assoc (Grade 05): $61,647- $77,057. Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree in engineering in a program accredited by ABET
Engineer (Grade 06): ($72,380 - $90,475) Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree in engineering in a program accredited by ABET with typically two (2) or more years of related engineering experience. Engineers with a Master's Degree in Engineering from a program accredited by ABET may be considered for entry into the organization at Grade 06 level.
Engineer (Grade 07): ($85,081 - $106,354) Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree in engineering in a program accredited by ABET with typically four (4) or more years related engineering experience OR two (2) years of related engineering experience along with a Master's or PhD in engineering from a program accredited by ABET*.
ABET - Engineering Accreditation Commission of the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology.* Acceptable alternatives are (1) a Bachelor's degree in engineering (non-ABET), plus a Professional Engineers (PE) license in any state of the U.S. or (2) a Bachelor's degree in engineering (non-ABET) plus a Master's degree or PhD in engineering from a university with an ABET accredited Bachelor's program.
Engineer Sr. (SG-8) Salary Range- $96,110- $124,940 Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree in engineering in a program accredited by ABET with typically six (6) or more years related engineering experience OR four (4) years of related engineering experience along with a Master's or PhD in engineering from a program accredited by ABET*.
Acceptable alternatives are:
(1) a Bachelor’s degree in engineering (non-ABET), plus a Professional Engineers (PE) license in any state of the U.S. or
(2) a Bachelor’s degree in engineering (non-ABET) plus a Master’s degree or PhD in engineering from a university with an ABET accredited Bachelor’s program. Confirmation is required to ensure the PE obtained in Puerto Rico aligns with NCEES standards.
