Responsible for Expro’s engineering activities within a designated engineering business area. Undertake general engineering tasks as directed by manager to enable the progress and completion of related projects.

Key Activities And Accountabilities

Design, analyze, and optimize mechanical systems and components using CAD Software.

Produce the required Engineering documentation then check for compliance with industry standards and Expro’s policies and procedures.

Record Engineering documents into PDM system and configure as required

Review dimensional tolerances on drawings, both new and old, and suggest potential tolerance changes that could aid in the manufacturing process without affecting functionality of the part, and interfacing with drafting to guide the revisions.

Create/ Update Manufacturing Work Instruction and Quality Plans

Produce calculations for design verification (applying engineering theory / ability to work from first principles and in compliance with internal procedures, client requirements and industry standards).

Create Engineering components and assembly drawings.

Conduct research to evaluate materials, components, and manufacturing processes.

Actively participate in Engineering meetings with internal and external parties and lead specific design reviews

Upload information to Engineering databases and proficient in the use of technical software packages

Liaise with other technical departments on work produced to ensure that any calculations and analysis is fit for purpose.

Actively adhere to the Code of Conduct and Anti-Bribery policies, procedures and processes to ensure the highest ethical standards are maintained and exposure to liability or risk to Expro’s reputation is minimised.

Actively adhere to and ensure compliance with applicable Quality policies, procedures, processes & systems. Take an active part in quality improvement processes. Act on reported deficiencies and approve deviations from standard procedures as appropriate

Ensure that employees adhere to and comply with all applicable Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) policies, procedures and processes. Provide leadership in HSE; encourage employees to take responsibility and be accountable for their own and others’ safety and provide an environment where they feel authorised to stop any unsafe job. Ensure that all incidents and non-conformances are reported in line with the appropriate procedures and deadlines; ensure that all incidents are investigated and corrective actions raised as required; where appropriate, participates in incident investigations

To carry out any other tasks as may be reasonably requested by manager.

Support Cementing Commodities with quotes and calculations.

Work within SAP (ERP) for manufacturing routes part number and B.O.M. creation.

Disposition nonconformances within in-house manufacturing and outsourced products.

Job Knowledge And Qualifications

- Degree in engineering or a relevant engineering discipline - 3+ years work experience preferably oilfield.

- Proficient in use of technical software packages (e.g. Inventor, Solid Works).

- Strong Knowledge of materials science and manufacturing processes.
