Our Integrated Strategic Planning group focuses on energy market research and analysis with regards to the economics, regulations and policy formulations specific to energy. This position will help support the analysis and modeling that determines Dominion Energy’s generation growth capital and new infrastructure requirements. The modeling process ensures compliance with applicable laws and regulations while providing reliable, affordable, and increasingly clean energy to Dominion Energy customers over the long term. More specifically, this position will assist in the analysis and modeling to support customers’ needs and benefits in regulatory filings such as the Integrated Resource Plan (IRP), New Resource / CPCN filings, and various Rider filings. The position also assists in completing the modeling, financial and strategic analysis related to the Company's capacity resource plan including risk assessment analyses, optimization analysis, rate analysis, and financial implications. This position will also focus on process improvements across the Integrated Strategic Planning group.
8+ years of experience with extensive knowledge of power generation markets, production cost forecasting, capacity resource planning, industry operating terms, generation equipment, renewable generation, battery storage, utility rates, risk assessment, capacity markets or commodity markets.
Degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education: Bachelors.
Preferred disciplines: Finance, Economics, Engineering, Business, Mathematics, Science
Note: A Master's degree will count as one year of experience. A partial year of six months or more will be rounded up to one year of experience.
