Southern Illinois Power Cooperative (SIPC), a generation and transmission electric cooperative based in southern Illinois, is looking to hire an Energy Innovation Analyst. The position is located south of Marion, Illinois, near Lake of Egypt.

Position Qualifications and Requirements:

•

Bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics, mathematics, engineering or a related field.

•

Previous experience with electrical utilities is preferred.

•

Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills are required.

•

Knowledge of renewable energy, distributed energy resources, electric vehicles, battery energy storage systems, and the evolving electrical industry is desirable.

•

Willingness to attend continuing education courses, complete certifications, and participate in meetings and training sessions, both online and out-of-town, as needed.

•

Duties and Responsibilities:

•

Gather, process, clean, analyze, and summarize large amounts of data to identify trends within MS Excel or other related applications.

•

Assist with the design, development, and implementation of member programs, including electric vehicles, time-of-use, interruptible loads, distributed energy resources, and demand side management. Training will be provided.

•

Assist with wholesale electric utility billing and related settlements.

•

Assist with configuration and maintenance of a meter data management systems and DERMS.

•

Assist with cost-of-service studies, load forecasting, electric system planning, grant applications, and operations.
