About the Role:
Peachtree Infrastructure is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented
Energy Engineer Intern
to support our growing portfolio of energy and sustainability initiatives. This role will involve analyzing energy consumption data, identifying and quantifying energy savings opportunities, and assisting with audits and technical evaluations of building systems. The intern will work closely with engineers and project managers on active projects to enhance building performance and support clients’ sustainability goals.
Key Responsibilities:
•Collect and analyze utility data to identify energy use patterns and inefficiencies.
•Assist with energy audits, site assessments, and building performance evaluations.
•Research energy-efficient technologies and support the development of energy conservation measures (ECMs).
•Support energy rebate management by identifying eligible incentives and preparing documentation for submission.
•Prepare technical documentation, reports, and presentations.
•Use tools such as Excel, ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager, and energy modeling software to support analysis.
•Collaborate with internal teams to support project implementation and performance tracking.
Required Qualifications:
•Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Energy Management, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
•Strong quantitative and analytical skills.
•Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with energy analysis software is a plus.
•Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
•Interest in energy systems, building performance, and sustainability.
Preferred Qualifications:
•Knowledge of HVAC systems, lighting, and building controls.
•Experience with energy modeling or simulation software (e.g., eQuest, EnergyPlus).
•Understanding of sustainability frameworks such as LEED, ENERGY STAR, or ASHRAE standards.
