Energy Accounts Manager (Commercial Services)

Are you passionate about energy innovation and building strong customer relationships? Bryan Texas Utilities is seeking a dynamic individual to serve as the primary point of contact for our commercial and industrial customers. In this pivotal role, you’ll guide customers through energy solutions, from distributed generation and load additions to electric rate options, while ensuring exceptional service.
Responsibilities
•
Develop and maintain trusted relationships with BTU’s commercial customers, providing comprehensive account management and support.
•
Serve as a subject matter expert on distributed energy resources (DERs), including solar, storage, and demand response technologies.
•
Guide customers through interconnection processes for DERs and large load expansions, coordinating closely with internal engineering and planning teams.
•
Analyze energy consumption data, model the impacts of rates and technologies, and deliver actionable insights to customers.
•
Promote BTU programs, rate options, and energy efficiency solutions to support cost savings and sustainability goals.
•
Monitor emerging trends and regulatory developments impacting the electric utility sector.
•
Collaborate across departments to resolve issues and deliver tailored solutions for each customer.
Qualifications
•
Knowledge of electric industry concepts, distributed generation impacts, and electric utility operations.
•
Ability to analyze technical data and communicate clearly with diverse stakeholders.
•
Strong interpersonal, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
