QPS- Quality Process Services Job Title: Emissions TechnicianEntry-Level Location: Levelland, TX Work Schedule: 9/80 Job Overview: Seeking an Entry-Level Emissions Technician to join our team in Levelland, TX. This role is responsible for assisting with the monitoring, recording, and management of air emissions in compliance with regulatory requirements and internal environmental policies. Looking for a strong interest in environmental science and compliance, attention to detail, and the ability to work well independently and as part of a team. Key Responsibilities:
•Emissions Monitoring: Assist in the collection and documentation of emissions data from various sources, including production facilities, equipment, and operations.
•Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with state, federal, and company-specific environmental regulations regarding air quality, greenhouse gas emissions, and other pollutants.
•Data Entry & Analysis: Record and maintain emissions data in electronic and manual databases, ensuring accuracy and completeness for reporting purposes.
•Inspections & Audits: Support periodic inspections of equipment and operations to identify potential emissions sources or areas of concern.
•Reporting: Assist in preparing emissions reports for regulatory agencies, internal audits, and other stakeholders.
•Equipment Calibration & Maintenance: Help with the calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of emissions monitoring equipment.
•Environmental Awareness: Participate in ongoing training to stay current with emissions standards, industry best practices, and new technologies.
•Safety & Compliance: Promote a safety-first culture, ensuring that all activities are performed in compliance with environmental standards. Qualifications:
•Education: High school diploma or GED required. Associate’s degree in environmental science, Engineering, or a related field is a plus.
•Skills: Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and in a team environment. Basic understanding of environmental regulations and compliance is a plus. Good communication skills, both verbal and written. Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and regulations.
•Certifications: OSHA 10-hour or 30-hour certification is a plus but not required. Physical Requirements:
•Ability to work in outdoor and sometimes harsh weather conditions.
•Ability to walk, climb, and work in industrial settings, including near heavy machinery.
