Parklane is searching for a dynamic individual to join its newly established Digitalization & Technology (DTEC) group, part of the Engineering Department. This group represents a strategic expansion of Parklane’s capabilities—focused on advancing automation, integration, and emerging technologies. As one of the first hires in this group, the successful candidate will play an important role in shaping its practices, while benefiting from the guidance and collaboration of the broader engineering team.
There are opportunities within the DTEC group for applicants of varying knowledge and experience, with positions being filled by candidates having commensurate capability and capacity.
This position will provide opportunities to collaborate with other departments—Marketing & Sales, Finance, Project Management, and Production—on initiatives that strengthen organization-wide objectives. The successful candidate will also contribute to Parklane’s strategic initiatives, including Research & Development and advancing Standards, Guidelines, and Codes.

- AI & Machine Learning Applications
- Contribute to the design and deployment of AI/ML models to support the organization’s priorities, centering around engineering and production.
- Apply predictive analytics to enhance performance optimization and risk management across projects.
- Automation & Integration
- Develop and maintain automation tools, scripts, or low-code solutions (e.g., Power Automate, PowerApps, Python, VBA) to streamline workflows.
- Support integrations between engineering tools and enterprise platforms (CRM, ERP, PDM/PLM), ensuring accurate and efficient data exchange.
- Data Analysis & Insights
- Manage data collection and transformation (ETL/ELT processes) to enable reliable dashboards and reports.
- Use platforms such as Power BI, Tableau, or Python to visualize performance metrics and inform decision-making.
- Technology Evaluation & Rollout
- Test and validate new software or hardware tools in sandbox environments, documenting outcomes and recommendations.
- Assist in digital asset management (templates, macros, CAD libraries) and coordinate training/documentation for new tools.
- Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
- Work with Engineering, Operations, and Sales teams to identify digitalization opportunities and implement solutions.
- Contribute to interdepartmental initiatives in Research & Development, innovation, and advancing Standards, Guidelines, and Codes.
- Recent graduate with a degree or diploma in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Foundational knowledge of AI/ML principles and familiarity with frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn.
- Experience with automation platforms (Power Automate, PowerApps, Zoho Flow, Zapier) or scripting/programming languages (Python, SQL, VBA).
- Proficiency in data visualization and reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) and enterprise systems (CRM, ERP, PDM/PLM) is an asset.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to translate technical solutions into practical applications.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills to support cross-departmental collaboration.
- Proactive learner, motivated to explore and apply emerging technologies in a fast-paced engineering environment.
- Frequently required to sit for extended periods of time.
