Job Overview
We are seeking a Licensed Elevator Mechanic to join our team. This role requires a proactive individual who can troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently while delivering excellent customer service. As a Mechanic, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing both hydraulic and traction elevator systems to ensure optimal performance and safety.
Responsibilities
•Perform routine maintenance and repairs on hydraulic and traction elevators, ensuring optimal functionality and safety of all elevator systems.
•Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues in hydraulic and traction systems, utilizing schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools.
•Conduct inspections to identify potential problems and recommend preventative measures to enhance system reliability.
•Work with hydraulic systems (oil, piston, and fluid) and traction systems (gearless, geared) to ensure proper operation and safety.
•Provide field service support for both hydraulic and traction elevators, responding promptly to customer requests and emergency situations.
•Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance activities, and parts used for both hydraulic and traction elevators.
•Collaborate with team members to improve processes and service delivery, particularly in maintaining and troubleshooting multi-OEM equipment across different elevator types.
Experience & Qualifications
•A minimum of 5 years of experience as an elevator mechanic, with specific experience in hydraulic and traction elevators.
•Certification from the CET or the NAEC is required.
•Documented formal training in multi-OEM elevator systems (both hydraulic and traction), with the ability to troubleshoot and repair a variety of elevator brands and models.
•Proven mechanical knowledge and hands-on experience with both hydraulic and traction elevator systems.
•Strong familiarity with electrical systems and the ability to read and interpret schematics for both hydraulic and traction elevators.
•Experience with hydraulic elevator systems (oil, piston, and fluid mechanics) and traction elevator systems (gearless and geared systems).
•Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
•Exceptional customer service skills, demonstrating professionalism and reliability in all interactions.
•A commitment to maintaining and following safety standards and best practices in all work performed.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65.00 - $90.00 per hour
