Primary Purpose:
The Electrician III performs the electrical maintenance activities involving the troubleshooting, installation, preventive maintenance and repair of sophisticated and elementary, electrical systems at the LNG facility. The Electrical Technician is responsible for adhering to technical and safety procedures, recognized standards and industry practices, and Company policies. The electrical technician will perform required maintenance activities and provide for reliable operation that complies with all safety, environmental and industry requirements. This position has call-out responsibilities.
This position will be located in Hackberry, Louisiana. Employees’ primary residence must be located within a one-hour drive from the Hackberry plant site. This measure will assure that response time for callouts is kept to a minimum, which increases the safety of our employees in an unexpected or emergent situation.
This position will be located in Hackberry, Louisiana. Transportation Worker Identification Credentials (TWIC) will be required.
Responsibilities/Duties:
•Performs electrical corrective and preventive maintenance activities. Solves operation, maintenance, and reliability problems as it relates to maintaining the plant equipment, power and control systems via repairs, modifications, or replacements of equipment
•Maintains Switchgear/Motor Control Center, Relay Protection, Motor Controls, Industrial HVAC, Electrical Testing, PLC’s, VFD’s, Wiring & Conduit, etc.
•Maintains both regulatory and non-regulatory maintenance records. Performs work reports/updates.
•Interfaces with supervisor, operations, and engineering, or other departments as needed to ensure safe, reliable, and cost effective maintenance and facility operation. This is accomplished via feedback on work performed.
•Provides support for work planning and scheduling.
•Participate in emergency response activities as job and situation dictate to protect life and property.
•Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Education:
•Minimum of a high school diploma or GED/. Incumbent possesses a technical degree in Electrical or nationally recognized standard, ISA or equivalent.
Experience:
•Employee with 3-4 years of Maintenance Experience and/or 8-10 years of Construction Experience.
•Experience in Liquefied Natural Gas production or natural gas processing preferred
•Experience in heavy industrial, petrochemical, or refining preferred
Skills/ Knowledge/ Abilities:
•Strong communication, work ethic and technical skills
Physical Requirements:
•Must be able to stand, walk, climb, run, sit, kneel, twist, bend, pull, push, carry, lift, reach overhead and drive. Most activities involve movement of either the upper and lower body extremities or both and the joints associated with these areas of the body.
•Must be able to enter confined spaces.
•Must be able to climb stairs and ladders that ranges from 4 ft to 200 ft.
•Must be able to lift equipment needed to perform work.
•Must be able to wear safety equipment such as safety harness, respirator and other protective equipment as needed to perform job.
•Must be willing to be on call, work overtime as required and handle emergency response responsibilities.
•Must be willing to travel for trainings as required.

DOT Requirements:
The U.S Department of Transportation (DOT) and the company have adopted regulations governing the control of drug use by persons in certain job classifications. This position is subject to the Federal Pipelines Regulation; and is stipulated in the 49 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) part 40 that requires drug and alcohol testing and must meet the testing standards.
