Electrician
Pay up to $40 per hour

General Summary: This position is responsible for performs a variety of electrical and basic mechanical maintenance and repair work on plant equipment including Disamatic molding machines, shot blast machines, furnaces, pumps, fans, gear boxes, shafts, belts, water and air lines, valves, motors, electrical panels, generators, boilers, etc.
Essential Functions:•Troubleshoot, maintain and repair foundry related electrical systems (i.e. relay logic and PLC) and equipment.
•Install electrical systems to support a variety of Foundry related equipment.
•Need to Ensure that these systems are safe and running efficiently
•Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem
•Ensure all work areas remain clean and free of safety hazards
•Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices
•Required to inspect the premises regularly, conduct routine maintenance, perform repairs when necessary.
•Providing suggestions for equipment replacement.
•Document and maintain records of inspections, maintenance, and repairs
•Comply with all safety and PPE requirements as identified in plant protocols.
•May be assigned other duties as needed.
Experience Required
•Minimum of three (3) years Industrial Maintenance Electrician experience required.
•Prior knowledge of green sand foundry practices, principles and equipment preferred.
•Familiarity with industrial electrical systems and the National Electrical Code.
•The ability to interpret and apply information on schematic diagrams, drawings and charts for fault isolation and repair of assigned systems and system subassemblies is required
Education & Skills Required
•High school diploma or equivalent required.
•Knowledge and ability to utilize a PC and related software.
•journeyman electrician license required.
Tools: Employee must supply own common tools. Specific tools will be supplied the Company.
